Our Mission

Support parenthood and family wellness in the hospitality industry by providing financial grants for parental leave and beyond.

Our Services

  • We provide one-time financial grants in the amount of $2000 for new parents working in the hospitality industry.

  • We support employers in the hospitality industry by providing financial assistance to employees on parental leave. By educating employers about the importance of family wellness, we aim to help employers retain talent over time.

  • We host and sponsor events each month to support our cause. Check our events page for the most up to date information.

Why do this work?

Becoming a parent turns your world upside down temporarily. The early-on experiences of caring for a child feel out of sync with the hands-on demands of the restaurant industry. We believe that working in the service industry should not restrict a person from growing their family, or from being able to take parental leave and focus on wellness for themselves and their loved ones.

New parents are substantially under-supported and lack a reasonable parental leave. Family growth is seemingly incompatible with service work which drives many parents out of the hospitality industry altogether. We hope to help create a world where parental leave and financial support for parents is a baseline expectation within the hospitality industry. Someday, it should be the standard practice for hospitality employers to retain talent as they grow their families and professional development is not conditional.
